Bank Holiday Monday Easter Egg Hunt and Competitions.

With the much needed rain in full flow over Carsington, this did not deter the Carsington Youth from the annual Easter Egg Hunt.
There were over 100 eggs that were hidden around the boat park, as the eggs were hunted down mercilessly, despite the weather conditions.

Debbie and Sandra this year had canvassed everybody that passed by the Galley to enter the Cup Cake and best Decorated Egg.
The result being the club house was full, with members and guests enjoying home cooked food.

Members started arriving early with there own equipment, in preparation to enter the various competitions. The club looked more like the Blue Peter studios.................!

We had three categories for the Cup Cake and Best Decorated Egg.

It was very difficult to select the winners as the standard was very high.

7 years and under:

  • Best Egg     Emily Taylor
  • Best Cake   Olly Thompson

8 to 14 years:

  • Best Egg    Julia Howarth
  • Best Cake  Grace Tower

Everybody else:

  • Best Egg    Matt Jackson
  • Best Cake  Rick Jillings
  • Megan Darke won the cuddly rabbit in the raffle.

Despite the weather the day was a wonderful success, thanks to all the members who supported the Club.

A big thank you to everybody who helped, the girls that policed the youth and the Easter Eggs, Sue Shaw, Helen Fidgeon, Sara Richard and Matt Jackson for his Photographs. Pieter Ten Have, Peter Shaw and Martin Fidgeon who helped set the stage.
Plus Debbie and Sandra for looking after us all with their home cooked fare.

Thank you to every body who supported the club.
