Dutyman gets Half-Days from 5th March

The Club relies on members for Safety Boat Crews, Race Officers and running the Office at weekends. The Duties are managed by the Dutyman System and members volunteer via the Dutyman link on our website.

At times we have been short of volunteers. To help some Members have offered a half-day of service and the office then looked for someone for second half.

To make it easier for Members to volunteer and to fill more duties we are modifying Dutyman.

From 5th March, the start of Dinghy Spring Series, there will be some half-day duties at weekends. Half-days will be available for Duty Officer (Reception) on Saturdays & Sundays. On Sundays half-days will also be available for:- Club Race Officers, ARO’s and Club Safety.
We plan to modify Dutyman by early Feburary.

Saturday Cruiser Racing and Open Events will remain as full-days.

The morning half-day Duty will end at 1:30 pm and the afternoon half-day will start at 1 pm. This gives an overlap of 30 minutes to smooth the change-over. It will also help lunch arrangements for those doing a full day.

How to book a full-day duty? Simply book the morning and the afternoon Duties. You will probably get 2 reminders.

Andy Banks set up Dutyman in 2012 and has run it ever since. Andy is handing over to Gerry Fisher. We are very grateful to Andy.
