Event Information

If you're a school age dinghy sailor and haven't already committed yourselves to another event, other activity or slobbing in your onesey this Saturday, you can choose to come to Carsington to race your dinghy at Carsington's Youth Charity event.

The forecast looks like it will be a pleasant day for sailing smoothly around the race track.  Please get the facebook chatter going immediately to ensure that everyone who can be there knows about it. (Sorry about the late notice).
Eligibility is it's for school age dinghy sailors - 10:30 briefing - three races, two to count - 1st warning signal at 11:00. -   lunch break - 2nd & 3rd races b2b.    Coaching is permitted at the back of the fleet to keep sailors in touch with the rest of the fleet.
This isn't a series event.  Just a chance to have a fun racing day at Carsington while raising funds to help others.
There will be half a dozen Squib keel boats who will also be on the same track and these boats will be with children on board experiencing sailing for the first time, so it would be great for them to see you racing along too.

These boats will be competing in inter Hospital Team Racing with youngsters from the hospitals crewing Squibs. We hope to have up to 6 hospitals represented.

The entry fee is your own donation to the charity fund, suggested donation £10 per boat.
Note; this event needs volunteers to help with registration, beach monitoring, safety or race committee please let me know if you can help or just come along on the day and let us know then.  We'll do what we can to get you involved.

Also there will be an introduction to disabled sailing for families and individuals

Come along and enjoy a great day.
