June 2019 Solo Racing

Solo and Wednesday PM racing news.

The Solo Open meeting that was postponed early May “No Wind” has been re scheduled as a one day Saturday Open meeting on 27th of July. Hoping all our club Solo’s will be able to support the event. The water level is high the temperatures are rising and the summer weather is finally happening so let’s hope for good numbers at the event. If any club members are not available and are prepared to loan their boats, I have one or two names of members that would be interested in joining our Solo Open.
Regarding the month of July Alistair Raynard and myself are going the Carnac France to race in the Solo Nations Cup event and August see’s our Solo National Championships being held at The Weymouth Sailing Academy (the Olympic sailing venue) so looking forward to going there.
Wednesday PM and evening racing seems to be very well supported to the extent that the sailing committee have asked if we can up the race team on the committee boat and rescue as the PM race numbers is regularly 20+ boats. Watch this space.

So wishing all great sailing and holidays as I guess we are nearly in the school holiday season.
