Welcome to the new Carsington Sailing Club Website
Your mobile friendly site is now here……………….
Early in 2018 the decision was taken by the Management Committee to more fully embrace the web-based Sailing Club Manager (SCM) software.
Part of the SCM package is a web platform, and it is upon this that our new website has been built.
It is one of several fully integrated modules within the Club Management program and will provide many benefits to the Club.
In addition, it has provided the Club with the opportunity to make substantial financial savings, running into the thousands of pounds.
The platform is still in development by SCM and some areas remain slightly clunky. However, it does more than adequately fill several main objectives that are long overdue.
~ It is fully compatible with PCs and all mobile devices. This is a huge step forward from the old site.
~ In 2019 it will be possible to book and if necessary pay online for events such as Open Meetings, Training Courses & Social Events.
It is also proposed that Membership renewals can be done on line for the 2019 season.
~ Members only.......The new web site has the facility to restrict certain information to Members only. To be able to view this you will need to login in using your personal login details which you can create, using one of two routes.
* 1. Click on the "Login" text at the top right corner of the Club web page and follow the instructions to create an account. Please use the Email address as currently held on the Club database.
* 2. Alternatively you can follow exactly the same instructions via the Member's only Portal which you will find in the menu on the "About Us" page.
Much of the content that was in the old website can be found in the new one. However, it may have moved around which will provide you with the opportunity to do a bit of exploring. In addition, content that was not looked after in the old website has been excluded in the new.
Your old bookmark links in your web browser should all work as before, except they will pick up the equivalent page in the new site.
We hope you will find the new website a friendlier place to browse.
