 he course is a combined RYA Level 1 (Start Sailing) and RYA Level 2 (Ba
 sic Skills) run on 2 consecutive weekends.Level 1 (Start Sailing) - Thi
 s course provides an introduction to sailing for beginners. By the end 
 of the course, participants will have a basic understanding of boat han
 dling techniques and background knowledge. And be able to confidently s
 ail with an instructor in the boat.Level 2 (Basic Skills) - On completi
 on of this course, the participants will be safety conscious, have a ba
 sic knowledge of sailing, be able to complete a wide range of manoeuvre
 s and be capable of sailing without an instructor on board in medium an
 d light winds. It will be assumed that every student has already demons
 trated the practical skills and absorbed the background knowledge requi
 red for Start Sailing Level 1 before completing Level 2.Who is this cou
 rse for? - This course is perfect for beginners or those with basic exp
 erience, providing the skills and confidence to sail a dinghy safely in
  a wide range of conditions Prerequisites - No prior experience is need
 ed to complete this course. We recommend participants be aged 15 and up
