Youth Fun Race

On the 31st of October there will be a youth fun race event held at Carsington sailing club, subject to weather conditions.

This event is at the request of Derbyshire Youth Sailing, as it is not possible to organise a race with other clubs at this time due to the current Covid-19 restrictions.

It will be an informal fun race to celebrate the end the Onboard Club's season and will hopefully put a smile on the faces of all youth sailors taking part!

Silvio Murgia, representing Derbyshire Youth Sailing, has kindly provided medals for the winners of this fun race event too.
Silvio has also put a good amount of effort in working with John Vant to make this event happen.

It would be great to see as many youth sailors as possible participating, please.

We have no formal training organised so will have 6 Toppers, 6 Picos, and 6 Oppys available, plus youth sailors own boats.

Two of the available Oppys will be sailed by "better" older members, so the youth won't have it that easy!
We aim to be at the club from 11ish to rig boats and have a bit of fun sailing prior to starting the race at approximately 1.30pm
