Racing at Carsington S.C.
Carsington Sailing Club is fortunate to be able to race for most of the year.
The Club runs a wide variety of racing series and events throughout the year suited to every level of ability and experience.
The Galley serves meals, snacks and refreshments on race days and the bar is open so you can celebrate your day, drown your sorrows or simply have a social wind-down with friends.

Saturday Club Racing
The Cruiser Fleet generally run three races on a Saturday. One in the morning and two in the afternoon.
During the year these races divided into 5 seasonal series (Frostbite - Spring - Summer - Autumn and Winter)
Sailability Racing is a relatively new venture and is growing year on year.
They hold three seasonal series on Saturdays; Spring, Summer and Autumn. Each is divided into a Morning and an Afternoon series. This allows the less mobile to do one option or both.
There are generally between three to five Hansas at the starts, which are run with in conjunction with the Cruiser Fleet.
Prizes and certificates are awarded to all who qualify for a series.
The Youth Squad join in racing with the Cruisers in the afternoon.
Sunday Club Racing
Dinghies and Catamarans race on Sundays. There are a variety of Fleet starts.
Depending upon the time of year there are 3 or 4 races each Sunday.
As with the Saturday Racing, these are divided into 5 seasonal series (Frostbite - Spring - Summer - Autumn and Winter)
Wednesday Afternoon and Evening Racing
Dinghies and Catamarans race on Wednesdays. There are a variety of Fleet starts.
After racing members can enjoy a freshly cooked evening meal from the Galley and the bar will be open
Club Racing Events
During the year the Club runs a variety of seasonal racing events. These include one-off events such as the Commmodore's Cup, The Christmas Cracker and our traditional Boxing Day Pursuit Race.
The Club hosts Open Meetings for many classes of boat throughout the sailing season. These are generally one or two day events and are normally held at weekends. They range from Regional through to National Events, with the odd International Event thrown in for good measure.
