Carsington Sailability have been working with the Derbyshire Dales Woodcraft Club through 2023 to raise money for two Derbyshire charities Go Beyond ~ the charity that gives young people breaks that last a lifetime and Carsington Sailability Trust, our own very local group. The Sailability Trust at Carsington water bringing those of all ages with physical or mental challenges (but different abilities) to the water for sailing and sensory experiences with RYA qualifications.

The Woodcraft Club (www.ddwc.uk) have donated for auction two pieces of their craftspersonship, as pictured, demonstrating the skills of wooden marquetry and wood pyrography, one a fine art sailing picture, the other a multi-purpose decorative plate.

Ahead of the Christmas gifting season both are on display in the Galley above the bookshelf with a reserve price of £30 on each, together with a 'Bids Sheet' for you to complete (£bid£, contact name and telephone number). Bids will close on Wednesday 13 December after various dinner and lunch events in the Galley. Please bid generously!

All monies will be split between Go Beyond and Sailability in equal measure. Thank you for your support.
