SEPTEMBER 2026 Water Level Report

On 1st September the Water Level was 72.2%, much higher than the same date in previous drought years. However, we lost both the South and Centre slipways during August, and the North Pontoon becomes unusable for cruisers and fixed keel boats at 65%. If water levels continue to fall as quickly as they have during recent weeks, then cruisers on a mooring will need to be brought ashore very soon. Plainly, the heavy rainfall over the Bank Holiday has paused water losses but the pattern of water losses during previous years is that levels continue to fall during September and October. Fortunately, it is expected that water levels will be high enough to allow dinghy and safety ribs to launch from the Dick Dalton Causeway until the end of the year.
