Don't forget to put your clock back one hour or you might be too early for the start and get an OCS !

Series 5 starts on Wednesday 27th October. The start time for the first race is 1400 hrs with the 2nd race back to back. This series will continue until 8th December, which is 14 races with 6 to count.

Saturday Winter Series for Cruisers

The Cruiser Winter Series starts on 30th October. No change to the start times ie. 1100, 1315 and B2B. This series will continue until 4th December.

Safety and RO Duties

Of course we can only go racing if we have adequate Safety Cover, which means two fully manned safety cover boats on the water. Also a Race Officer / ARO. Please try and volunteer for these duties (Sundays and Wednesday afternoons) so that we can enjoy racing over the last 6 or 7 weeks of the season.

Open Meetings

A great weekend was enjoyed by the Waszp Fleet over the weekend of 23rd / 24th October, attracting 20 competitors from as far afield as Dublin and the Isle of Wight. It's quite a spectacle to see a big fleet of these boats flying across the water. Please see the report in Yachts and Yachting :-
Yachts and Yachting Report Carsington Waszp GP

Well done to Carsington's Daniel Welbourne-Hesp, finishing 3rd overall. Also well done to John Poulson & team for doing an excellent job as Race Officer plus Melissa for organising the event and all the volunteers on safety and mark laying.
This was the last of our open meetings for this year. There have been 12 events in total, covering 18 different classes. A lot of work goes into organising these events both off the water and on, so it's a big thank you to all the event organisers, race management teams and all those who volunteered for safety and mark laying. Also a big thank you to Ceri and the office team for helping to put these events on and of course Tim and Donna who have done a great job in providing the catering for these events. All the visiting classes have said what great events they had and how much they enjoyed the hospitality of Carsington SC. Many of them are already in contact to come back next year.
