Dear Club member,
You are invited to a sponsored cycle ride in aid of the RNLI, starting and finishing at Carsington Sailing Club, on Saturday 24th September 2022 at 09:00.
Details as follows:
Matlock & Bakewell RNLI fund raising branch invite cyclists to enjoy a non-competitive sportive, featuring a choice of three routes. The event starts and finishes at Carsington Sailing Club with a refreshment stop at Ogston Sailing Club.
Two of the routes link Carsington Sailing Club & Ogston Sailing club with a choice of challenging rides of 100km (5200feet elevation gain) or 60km (3380 feet of elevation gain). On these two routes your efforts will be rewarded with stunning scenery and the longer route takes you through the beautiful Chatsworth Park.
The third route is a Family fun ride of either 13km round Carsington Water or a 5km short ride. These will appeal to families & children.
The routes are tried and tested by local riders and designed around the beautiful country lanes and villages of the Peak district.
The routes have been designed to ensure that wherever possible, there are low traffic volumes and away from major roads & busy towns. The exact route will be sign posted.
Entry fees include:
- Your Donation to the RNLI
- You are welcome to raise extra funds through sponsorship via our Just Giving page. LINK
- Free parking for all entrants.
- Coffee or tea at pre- start.
- Male/Female changing facilities (with hot showers)
- Well signed routes with a refreshment stop at Ogston Sailing club.
- A voucher to be redeemed on the day at the BBQ. at the finish.
- Finisher T shirt and medal for all participants
