Club Covid 19 Update  12.01.2021

It is clear that it will not be possible to open the Sailing Club until the Covid lockdown position changes.  The Government imposed national lockdown rules are now law and state that outdoor sports facilities must close. The RYA position reflects this message also.  LINK

The RYA have suspended organised activity until 1st March in support of the new national lockdown.

Sarah Treseder, CEO of the RYA, said: "It is vital that we all play our part in combating the spread of this virus and we understand the difficult decisions that the Government is having to make to keep people and communities safe.

This lockdown will be a further test of our collective resolve, but with the vaccination programme now rolling out to priority groups right across the UK, we are confident of a fantastic season of boating activity in 2021."

Okay... So, we can't change Lockdown, but what we can do as Club Members, Management Team, and Staff, is look at putting things in place to make our return to the Club and sailing a positive experience and something to look forward to as soon and when we can.
