The RYA Sailability Conference 2020 took place on Saturday 15th February at Wyboston Lakes Conference Centre, Bedfordshire. This full day event began with an opening address by Joff McGill, RYA Sailability Manager. The theme was very much about safety issues and made mention of the tragic death of a sailor when an RS Venture Keel capsized and inverted. This was followed by a series of workshops covering themes as diverse as health and safety, funding opportunities, pontoon design, sharing ideas on supporting blind sailors and race strategy. Attending from Carsington Sailability were volunteers Richard Mollart, Sarah Spencer and sailor Ben Elliott. We are grateful to the RYA and Sport England for funding the attendees. In the evening there was an awards dinner for which Ben Elliott received a certificate for being nominated in the Young Sailor of the Year Category.
