Solo and Wednesday racing news

Published 11:01 on 1 Nov 2018

Solo and Wednesday racing news,
Well, here we are again nearly the end of another season. The long hot summer has spoilt us, fantastic temperatures and good racing. Now both the water temperature and the air temperature are beginning to drop and not forgetting the water level. We are seeing less boats out on the water at weekends, that said the Wednesday PM racing has been very well attended. Congratulations to Ian Tinker winning series 4 that ended on 24th October. So, we have started the winter series for the hardy sailors so let’s hope we do not lose too much more water as the mud is a real pain, (Our new MC have moves afoot to improve access to the water).  Luckily, our racing area is not affected by the low water it’s just getting out and back from there.
So finally hoping it’s not too early to wish all a Merry Xmas and let’s hope the weather is kind to those of us who choose to continue racing into the winter.
Regards and good sailing.
