RYA Safety Boat

RYA Safety Boat: 

A confidence building course to provide the knowledge and skills to rescue and support other craft on the water.

This two-day course provides the skills required when acting as an escort craft, safety boat or coach boat for a fleet of dinghies, windsurfers or canoes, or for racing or training activities. It includes rescue techniques and elements of race management and mark laying.

Candidates should be proficient and experienced drivers with skills to position a powerboat accurately.

Previous Experience - A minimum of a RYA Powerboat level 2 is required

Duration 16 hours - This course generally takes place over 2 Days: 09.00am to 5.00pm      

Ratio Up to 6 students per instructor

Minimum age 16

Prices are £290 per course - this includes 2 full days of tuition, the certificate and handbook.
